Who Are We?
Meadowlark Farms is located on the Northwest side of Airdrie, AB. Together owners Carl and Karen have over 30 years of horse experience and provide quality care for performance horses, overseeing all the daily operations.
We offer boarding and foaling of broodmares, yearlings, weanlings, turnouts, lay-ups and lay-overs. Whether your need is long term, seasonal or short term, we are sure your horses would like to call Meadowlark Farms home. We also provide sales prep and representation for yearling and mixed sales throughout the year. Transportation is available upon request.
“Meadowlark farms became a home to both my daughter Janessa and myself. Following a very tragic diagnosis of our horse Baymax, he was given the opportunity to live the final days of his life at their farm. The care he received at the hands of Carl and Karen was outstanding. They cared for him like a family member. He took care of their broodmares, rising to the top to become the mare’s hero. He was well fed, watered and roamed the field in contented horse bliss. Recently his life changed, he was further diagnosed with cancer in his eye and had to be put down. During our time of grief and loss, Karen, Carl and the farm became our consolation. I will forever be grateful to them and their farm for providing for our horse with love, opening their home to us like we were family and for paving the way for Baymax to move from earthly joy to forever bliss and peaceful rest.
